I was having a very interesting talk with Kumar this afternoon and i just have to post it here. You see, number 1, i was exhilarated that the conversation had nothing to do with the nether regions nor copulation because it seems that i noticed a trend which is so strong that i can plot a linear equation graph based on the conversations that Kumar is in, it is always abt SEX or hell-period. So anyway, i was happy we were having a more intellectual conversation at that moment. Number 2, i wanted so much to prove that i was right about the topic.
Okay, we were talking about my previous post about the ancient aliens and all and for some reason we digress into indian mythology. So i mentioned that Shiva the destroyer was a goddess instead of a god. Being the closet hindu that he is (cause he would rather die than admit it but i know he is)he immediately told me that Shiva is a man and not a lady and that i was wrong. Well, i am wrong. After wiki-ing, I found out that Shiva is in fact a man. But somewhere along his life, he kinda combined bodies with his wife to become this half man and half woman. Like literally half, symetrical bilaterally. Like that.
So, you cant blame me for mistaking Shiva as a woman. I swear i saw the word goddess in my history textbook when i was in Sec 1 if my memory didnt fail me. It was this statue, i remember which was in the book.
which man on earth can bend the leg till this angle? and the butt sticking like that?? cannot blame me along with the other 6.02 x 10^23 ppl who mistook him for a female
Well, to add on the other two of the ppgs were not helping cause they insited that Shiva is a male as well. So what do you do? You ask!! I stopped random ppl walking by our table in the canteen and ask them if they think that Shiva is a man or a woman. We got the whole lot. Some said man and some said woman.
My stand is it doesnt even matter if people know that Shiva is a God or Goddess for the matter. The fact is that the name Shiva shounds feminine on its own. Even without an prior knowledge, i am sure there will be people who would think that the bearer of that name is a female.
Any name ending with a -va sounds feminine. But sadly the english teacher (Sarah Jeanetix) disagreed She said that -va is a very strong sound and hence makes the name musculine.
Here is my rebuttal:
1. Lady Godiva the famous noble woman who rode nake on the saddle through the streets of England. or, that chocolate shop.
2. Maria Sharapova epitome of a female. young, successful, pretty, rich She makes me go, sigh. lovvvvve this dress btw.

for the cheena ppl, im sure you know this singer or the girl on tv airing her arm pits everywhere because she uses Rexona! sidetracking, i read somewhere that anti perpirants blocks your pores and doesnt allows the toxins to exit your nodes which can cause cancer. I stopped using deodorant/ anti perpirant since then Phew ew. stay away from me when im exercising i guess

ABless the heavens that i finally get a 4 day week this sem and icing on the cake is that my free day is a friday which allows me to have a well rested weekend before i commence with the start of the week again.
So i usually spend my fridays catching up on sleep, some or very little work and television of course. It was around 4ish and there were no interesting programmes to watch so i kinda explored the different channels a little What caught my eye was this show called "Acient Aliens" on The History Channel and so i decided to watch it since it was starting soon. However, it was only a few minutes into the show that i realised that i have stumbled upon another amazing documentary thati just have to share with everyone.
The main theory that is proposed in the show is that alien astronauts from a long time ago, came to earth and helped man kind progressed with technology they bring from their highly advanced universe. I know this may sound like hog wash and pretty unbelivable and trust me, the cynic in me was turned on 100% the moment i saw the word aliens However, evidences that was shown to me in this show was simply too good to deny and right now, i kinda buy the whole alien astronaunt thing.
There are simply too many things that cannot be explained on Earth From strange phenomenons to the ingenuity of man I find these all very amazing and intriguing at the same time Once again, my search for the next amazing documentary continues.
Here are some bites out of the doc to get you started:
1. Nazca desert lines The Nazca Lines are a series of ancient geoglyphs located in the Nazca Desert in southern Peru created btw 400 to 650 BC These lines are found on mountain plataues and resemble airplane landing strips Other than this, there are many figures made which resembles hummingbirds, spiders, monkeys, fish, sharks, orcas, llamas, and lizards.
These ancient giangantic drawings are very huge and span across many kilometers per drawing and hence can only be seen if you are flying across the sky. The question is, why were these drawings created if no one could fly at that point in time?
2. The egyptian lightbulb When the acient egyptians built the pyramid, many heiroglyps and pictures decorated the walls of the pyramid. In the great pyramid of giza lies a highly guarded chamber which is only open to the high priest. The conditions inside these chambers are dark and very poorly ventilated. This means that for someone of that time period to walk in those chambers, they would need a light source which is probably in the form of a fire torch. However, the amount of oxygen is so low deep withini the secret chambers, it its impossible to suport a flame at all. How then did the acient egyptians walk through those pitch dark chambers without a light source? In the guarded chambers, on one of the walls shows this picture

3. The Pyramid of Giza Do you know that it took the ancient egyptians 22 years to buid the pyramid of giza. Each brick that makes the pyramid weighs about 2.5 tonnes. If you do the math, this would mean that it takes 9 seconds for 1 brick to be cut, transported and placed onto the pyramid. Amazing for that time period or did they have additional help?
4. Sarcophagus of Mayan King Pacal You know about the Mayans right? A very smart bunch of ppl that were way ahead of their time but disappeared all of a sudden The Mayans had a king called Pacal whom they hold in high regard. When he died, they built a pyramid for him and on his sarcophagus they caraved a picture which was supposed to symbolise his journey to the underworld This is the picture
If you look closely, it looks like a man sitting in a capsule of a space shuttle isnt it? Theres an oxygen mask on his noese, his hands are turning something and his foot is on some sort of a paddle. At the bottom, you see fire spounting from the space shuttle as if its taking off. Just for comparison, this is a picture of a real astronaut in a space shuttle ready for take off Spotted anything similar? Btw, in recent years, the king's tomb has been seal away and closed to visitors. I wonder why.

running a temperature, with a bocked nose and a sore throat I notice that i am falling sick more and more often. Dont think this is a good sign at all what a bad week it was lecturers and timetabling ppl at that place should stop treating us like we're fucking primary 3 students. there is no reason to: 1. shout 2. scorn 3. suspect 4. belittle
and yes, im refering to more than one person ppl at the top are really screwed up. okay, some ppl.

i felt so clueless during track class cause i cant seem to get my footing right, result in my feet getting caught in the rope cause there wasnt enough take off power. Feeling like a loser, i decided to practice it right after track class the miracle thats is rizal or rather coach rizal did his voodoo on me and i was able to jump my personal best of 100cm within 45min. and not with a rope, with a pole mind you.
rizal recorded down my best jump and split the frames up for a more detailed analysis and this is what i got. My high up sequence frame by frame I would say, it looks pretty decent considering the fact i wasnt event able to clear half that height 45 min ago.
This is an attempt to ressurect this waste of a digital space. And to entertaint Chelsea who is the only one who visits this forsaken url.
Im gonna come clean now. I think i have an addcition There, i said it. I am addicted to reality tv. And i dont mean, "oooooh, im addicted to candy kinda addicted" IM ADDICTED! big time, the real macoy. I just cant seem to stop watching reality television shows. Just to steer this ship back from where it came from a little, i think reality tv gives me the thrill and excitement that scripted tv shows cant provide. ..... Just name it and i think its probably on my "to watch list" right now

One thing i am not gg to do is to call for an intervention because i wanna keep being a TV addict And you know what? I'm gonna try to convert some of you to start watching some of these awesome shows.
1. Survivor Redemption Island
This is number 1 on the list for a very goooooood reason. Survivor is like the queen mother of all reality shows. I dont really know too many people who follow Survivor maybe except for Wee lin who is also an avid fan of the show since eons ago just like me. 22 seasons into the show and you'd think that people might grow tired of it already. HEll NO! In fact, it gets more exciting This season, when you get voted out, you dont go home and instead you go to redemption island where you can try to win your way back into the game. How cool is that? And whats more awesome is that Boston Rob and Russel are both back in the game.
These two great survivor talents definitely makes the game so much more exciting to watch and im am already looking forward anxiously to episode 2! If you dont watch any on the list, at least try this one.
2. Jersey shore
I know. Stupid show. But stupid good anyhow. Why? Just becuase it makes me feel so smart compared to these fake new york italians. For these bunch of people, their life is all about the GTL Gym, Tan and Laundry. Not to forget partying in clubs and having sex. Soemtimes I feel like im watching a documentary about a of monkeys going about their daily routine. You make yourself attractive (GTL) and then you attrat your mate through courtship and finally you copulate (club and sex) Right??? I really envy their burdenless lives but most of the time i just laugh at their stupidity. This show is a feel good show for you peole out there who need to put others down just to feel good about yourselves.
3. Keeping up with the Kardashians
Lifestyle of the rich and famous aint what we all dream of? I enjoy this show because it is soooooooo scripted but yet the cast are kinda living in their own bubble thinking we audiences are retards or of lower thinking order. Seriously dude, we can tell!!! But that aside, i secretly would love to live their life. How should i describe it accurately? Its the flossy flossy lifestlyle with fast cars, pretty clothes,lotsa money and partying. I think the Kardashian sisters are actually quite pretty just because they are not the usual skinny minny i see on the silver screen and appear more real. I would reccommend this show if you are into the hollywood lifestyle and need some make up drama in your boring life. Think DUIs, sex tape leaks, eloping in las vegas, magazine shoots etc....
4. Kimora, life in the fab lane. I LOVE this show because Kimora Lee Simmons is super hilarious. Fashion mogual, model and mom are the different roles she has to juggle and you see how she does it on this show. I think im a little kimora deep inside because she is an asian girl who is into fashion and glam and she married Djimon honsou!! The guy from blood diamond. Stil no clue? The guy whose crotch was on the display window of Calvin Klein at citylink for a good half a year!! Hot... Anyway, she has 3 kids and they are pretty hilarious also... So just watch this...
5. Jon and kate plus 8
Where do i even begin?? After watching this show. I wanna have 8 kids myself!!! The idea of having several kids growing up together is so fun. I was kinda upset when they announced the infamous split because they would;ve been the perfect family. Jon is korean and kate a caucasian, so you can imagine how cute the kids are. Aside from that, they are very socialble and have different personalities which is very fun to watch. Watch this show if you like to see kids do and say the darnest things. Oh, and not forgeting, paranoid mother who always spoils the fun.
6. Project Runway
Turning plain old cloth into beautiful garments has always been my dream. I spend a lot of moolahs on clothes and if i can do what these people on the show do, i would save myself a lot of buckaroos. In fashion, one day you're in and the next day, you're out Seeing other people's take on what looks good allows me explore how i can dress up less conservatively.
Anyway, the list never ends. I dont know if it has happended to you. But the person i am rooting for in the reality competition always ends up being the runner up. ALL THE FREAKING TIME. Be it survivor, ANTM, even freaking masterchef. pisses the crap out of me. So, go on and start watching some of these shows and tell me if you enjoy it just as much as i do!

You probably figured its a mesh of the word religion and rediculous Bill Maher explores why people today continue to be so faithful to their religion even though they are so much more educated than the past He went to the churces, mosques, scientology churces and even some mormon temple(mormonism, which i got to know from this show.) Please go wiki mormonism. (hah) It is SUPER INTERESTIING and ENTERTAINING. here is the link But be warned, you should take this show with a pich of salt or just dont watch it at all. I bought the DVD of one of my favourite movie "Kingdom of Heaven" yesterday I think i am at the point in my life where i am starting to collect movies and albums which i think are good and would like to keep as part of my collection When i was much younger and more importantly poorer, i didnt believe in buying CDs and DVDs For music, i'll just download it somewhere and for shows, i prefer to go to the theatres mainly for the sound and picture quality. Back to the DVD, though I have watched the movie at least 10 times, this DVD is pretty cool as it has a bonus documentary DVD included telling you more about the historical facts vs Hollywood( what actually happened in the movie) For 13 bucks i think it was such a good deal so i got it without thinking twice Wanted to watch it with my family(mum and dad) but i couldnt finish it before i left the house for some gathering on new year's day Left my parents to finish it after i left home but they told me they wanted to watch it with me another day. When i got home, i wanted to finish the movie and the documentary only to find out that my dad had lent the DVD away. Really?? What happended to asking? Well, at least let me finish it watching first?? !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Part sad Part pissed Part appalled and a whole lot of bored since i dont have anything to watch anymore.
I think we need to hold a courtesy campaign within the household.

So ive been back for two days now and im still jet lagged. On the plane back, i was just having a conversation with my mum about being jet lagged. I asked her if she would be jet lagged cause technically, we reach Singapore in the wee hours at 140am and hence the only thing we can do when we get home is to sleep. Her reply was, nooooo. She doesnt get jet lagged cause she barely sleep during the plane rides. Well, my reply was an old person's body doesnt get adapted to different time zones so quickly and i bet her bottom that she would be insomnic.
But what do you know?? Here i am at 523am, typing away feeling wide awake and my mum has been sleeping for the past 6 hours. It seems that the kettlebell workout i did 2 hours ago didnt do much to wear me down. note to self: Google ways to treat jet lag/insomnia. PRONTO!!
My handphone has been cranky since i got to LA and hence i am left without a working phone for now. I hope people who tried contacting me can be patient till i get my phone fixed which is hopefully later on today. this situation totally ruined my plan of msging some of my close friends "IM BACK BITCHES!" the moment i touched down at Changi. BUMMER!!
I got bored on the airplane and opened up to my mum about they type of guys that catch my eye. And then i pointed to the guy sitting infront of mum who caught my eye the moment he walked down the aisle I was just going through my checklist and i did a mental check for most the must haves. Sadly, mum isnt too happy to hear about my taste for the... how do i put it?? Exotic flavours?? And she told me the most racist thing you can ever imagine. I leave you guys to think about it. I dun think its that difficult to guess anyway. Hah.

someone lock the pantry! why cant i be the one who loses weight when i am stressed instead??

I stare into this space with a great amount of guilt and disappointment in myself. here i am blogging when the actualy fact is that i have tonns of thing to cramp into my tiny brain before tueday. RERI is such a bitch. I am assuming she is a girl because a guy is never this complicated. A part of me wants to really sit down to appreciate and understand the wonders behind this magical physiological model that was developed by a very intelligent man by the name of Dr Bala who also intimidates me to hell. Unfortunately, time and my short attention span are not really on my side now. So here there i go memorising like every other Singaporean student which is not what i am suppose to advocate as a teacher. Ah.. the irony. It kills me.
IVE GOT HALL!!! Gone are the days where i have to wake up at ungodly hours just to reach school in the nick of time for lessons HALL 12 which is so much nearer to school compared to hall 8. But the downside is that i am staying with a complete stranger which i am not really comfortable with. I'd rather stay with Jeanetic and walk a bit more any day. BOO.
I think someone deleted all the temporary files in my internet folder which irriates me to the max and i think i know who the culprit is. Now i have to type the full url before i can proceed to any site that i want.
I think i really have to go. I am extremely convinced now that i can never stay at home to study. I really envy people who can actually do that because it saves them so much time and they probably learn so much more than people. I should have a fixed study partner instead of changing one every sem Its so confusing.
Easy A, check Repunzel, check Unstoppable, check Harry potter........... I think i am the only loser left who hasnt watched the movie. The funny thing is that before the movie was showing, i had so many different bunch of friends "choping" me to watch the movie with them. its been such a lazy day for me. i cant remember when was the last time i actually woke up at 1pm in the afternoon but it sure felt good to not be waking at the crack of dawn bound on an hour and a half long journey to a god forsaken place. its been almost a sem and i still cant accept get use to all the daily travelling to and back from school Whoever that said that the journey gets shorter with every ride is so dillusional.
I had a really weird dream last night about meeting a teacher whom i respect so dearly telling me to not give up on my dreams it felt so real and while in my dream i could feel the tugging of my heartstrings which is also the reason why i remember the dream in the first place
the fact is that i rarely dream at night. I know that is technically not true, cause the actualy fact is that i dont remember my dreams, but who cares about technicalities? Almost everynight I get a good night's rest, free from the thought of the adventures i probably had in my slumber. As much as i am not the type of person who would dwell on what my horoscope says, or ponder about the weird shape formed by my tea leave at the bottom of my cup, this dream is so vivid that i cant get it off my head.

This is actually the first time i feel that i am on task for the week's work. i credit this surprizingly to fazly. If he hadnt asked me out to study, i wouldve been doing anything else but studying at home for sure. Right now, my creed towards work is to take it a week at a time.
Ive decided to join rugby for good and this leads to my search for the perfect pair of rugby boots. They are techinically soccer boots but they work just fine for rugby. I wonder if there is a difference btw rugby and soccer boots. There are so many questions i need to ask before purchasing the right books Can the enlightened pls enlighten me?
1. Round or flat studs? I noticed some boots have round cleats while some have the flatter looking cleats.
What is the difference and how will it affect my run? or my ankles :-/
2. Nike or adidas? Its the same old question btw vanity and practicality. But to be fair, this pink adidas boots are not too shabby.
i finally realised that my room is not really conducive for some real studying and so i decide moved my laptop out to the hall where the dining table is. So i walked over to the fan to turn it on and then i started to recall how much i love to pretend that i am a singer trying to record her song by singing into the fan. (dont pretend you havent tried this shit ever because i know you have) so i waited till my parents went to bed and i sang Lady Gaga's bad romance into the fan. i know right... im really lame like that. thats all i have now, excuse me while i go drink some cough syrup i think i swallowed too much dust that was spewed from the fan.
Aint this the cutest picture of our favourite feline friend? The skeleton shows that hello kitty does have a mouth complete with canines. But tell me again, why doesnt it show on her face? TOO CUTE! I always wanted one of these hanging skeleton that you find in the science lab. Come to think of it, a hello kitty one is not too bad either.
p.s: no.. i still dont like cats. i just like the idea of being able to see the insides of a cat
i hate it when i get tongue tied whenever a question is posted to me. it makes me feel so stupid. it doesnt help that i have an attention span of a goldfish and the reflex of a sloth another 30 seconds would have done the trick i swear. once again, i step out feeling insignificant and helpless.
on a better note, deg year 3s are the hockey champs 2010!! and i am so proud of myself for scoring 2 out of the 3 goals that were scored through the entire evening hcokey 101 from kumar, faz and fai actually worked! yay me!
but i still feel stupid every tuesdays and thursdays. fml
I thought i should waste some time here just to feel more in control of my life. i never thought that i would say this but 24 hours just aint enought anymore. Work is pilling up an invisible weight on my shoulders and i sure hope i bench it like i do in the gym. okay.. that was such a weird analogy but it'll do fine for the weary eyed girl sitting in front of this rectangular screen right now.
I get a sense that Dr Bala is afraid that i am not learning in class cause vocality = learning. I guess this is the classic case where silence is not all that golden. I am beginning to think i have selective mutism like Kutrapali from the big bang theory. Get me some alcohol. Note to self: Down some beer/vodka/whisky/jolly shandy before physio. Im sure that will get me talking- hence learning.
i cant phantom the thought of pushing another person into the water in order to buoy myself from drowning. I would never do that to anyone, let alone a friend(s).(or 120 other ppl) AMX my ass.
On the contrary, I feel like the world is our oyster and the possibilities are endless for people our age. But why does it seem like we had so much more fun when we were younger? Note younger and not young.
here's to my dearest little brother for completing his first 3 months of basic military training for his national service! way to go! my conclusion is that they really make a man out of you. Boys who walked in 3 months ago come out looking like real man. For his batch of recruits, their POP was held at the marina bay floating platform for the first time and the turn out was huge.. Personally, i am not a morning person at all and the ceremony was held so god damn early i felt like i was sleep walking my way to the bay. We were actually there before 7am!! Putting the fact that i was sleep deprived aside, i was actually very glad to be there to witness a rite of passage that my brother had to go through and i felt so proud of him! Another reason was that the show was spectacular. Dont get me wrong, the show i was referring to was happening at the stands. The POP was actually quite boring and the sun was searing us so badly that i wanted it to be over asap!! My parents, Daphane and I were lucky to get one of the front row seats because we got there relatively early and we thought we were gonna get a good view of my brother in all his glory. But this is where the show begins, ppl at the back were flocking to the front and standing at the railings to catch a better glimpse of there army boys creating this human wall that .... the view of the ppl sitting in their sits in front.(including us) Of course the ppl in front started complaining to the soldier ushers in front but sadly, could not control the crowd and things started getting really ugly. This women who was clad in very classy black dress took a piece of card/paper and started throwing them at the ppl sitting in front. Like literally taking aim and firing at random ppl. Can you imagine how appaled i was? At that moment, i really thought that she was "THE ugly singapore" personified, alive and breathing in front of me. People started shouting at the crowd that was blocking us and more ppl joined in the fun and added to the chior of curses making the whole situation very uncomfortable. My conclusion on this whole fiasco is that that soldiers should just stick to defending the country as they really did not do a very good job at crowd control. I say if they had done a better job at making sure that ppl sat in their sits, this whole situation would not even have taken place.

This song has got to be one of my top 5 groove to songs of all time. a little history about this song. I heard it on the radio on fine day but i didnt get the title, so i called it the "funky black song" Feeling really desperate, I went around asking ppl, do you know the title of the funky black song that is playing on radio now? I even googled "the funky black song" but to no avail.(like duh?) But they say patience pays off, and i finally heard it again 2 weeks later on the radio and i made sure i got the title. Now i cant get it off my head. And i managed to get Aloy hooked onto the song too! I guess that is actually the greatest satisfaction right? Convincing someone else to appreciate something you do too. I really get a kick doing that.
