origami folding is therapeutic.
this long lost love for turning a plain sheet of paper into something-anything,
all came back to me one night while i was trying to fold a soccer ball for caleb qui qui niao.
now, whenever i am bored or just need a little myself time, i would take out pieces of coloured paper and turn them into beautiful things especially animals
i love folding animals

dolphin
fish
swan
duck
flapping bird
jumping frog
talking crows

i just love it when i am able to remember every step of the folds
the sense of accomplishment is just oh so good.
it makes me feel like god sometimes cause i take nothing and turn it into something.
ooh....

can anyone answer my question?
is there a plural to fish?
many fishes? or many fish?
sarah stands by the latter while others insist on the former.

anyway, i caught 500 days of summer
and i cant emphasize how apt this show is- to me at least.
not the best show in my opinon cause there is not much of a climax, but it really answered my question on fate and destiny and all the jazz i have blogged about previouslly.
It was like i was meant to watch the show cause it pretty much sums up everything thing that has been going on- like magic.
not to mention the lead actress summer's sense of stlye
i can totally see myself wearing all her clothes and hair accessories.
ooh ooh!
she likes origami too.. can say coincidence?

Last week, one of my friend asked me a question that lingered on in my mind for quite some time.
Do you belive in fate and destiny?
This question stumpped me for a little while and after which, i think i've got a perfect answer to it.
I do belive in fate and destiny.
For example, i firmly believe that you can be in the right place at the right time and after which everything is a predeterminded course of events.
or vice versa, right place at the wrong time and everything goes opposite of what you expect.
Making a choice is a very good example.
Have you ever decided on turning left instead of right for example only to realise if what if you have never turned left, you wouldnt have met your best friend or your soulmate?
Likewise, if you have turned right, your life wouldnt be what is it now.
You may think in a manner and act in a manner because you were predetermined to do something that is being affected by the way you think and act.
In other words, you can think and ponder about a decision all day, but in the end, the answer is set in the stone of the future.
The answer and decision cannot change. So why do we spend so much time thinking about that decision?
Wouldnt it be the same answer if you decided in a blink of the eye?
Since the answer would be the same anyway?
Personally, i am a beliver or my gut and intuition and would never regret whatever decisions i have made in life and i cannot imagine what would have happened if i had done otherwise.

I am pretty amazed at how these situations and decisions i was in or i have taken have changed my life and i can never imagine what would have happened if not for that decision that i have made or that step that i have taken.
It still amazes me.
Life is pretty interesting in that way.
People often say "you write your own destiny".
But i think what you are doing is reinforcing the faint but prominent line drawn by destiny.
Don't you think so?

feeling rekindled

ive never regretted my choice in going to Meridian Junior College
been through loads of shit there.
But at the same time i have met many of my closest friends and got to know many nice teachers along the way

Tradition has it, that every department will have to create a video for the JC 2s farewell assembly every year
And even after graduating for 2 years already, i never fail to anticipate the release of the videos especially by the math department.

I am not the best student of math myself,
but i have to say that the math teachers are one of the most creative and entertainning bunch
the videos they come up with every year gets better and better

Pet peeves

Its been a long time since ive written something other than updates.
Well, i wanna talk about pet peeves today.
For the convenience of some, pet peeves are minor annoyances that an individual identifies as particular annoying.

Personally, i do have certain pet peeves that never fail to tick me off like a atomic nuclear time reactor.
I am sure everyone does, but to what degree and how anal it is, is what i am interested in.
To cut to the chase, i think I've got some pretty ridiculous ones going but who doesn't right?
So here is my list, and maybe, you guys can comment on it to let me know?

1. Crumpled clothes
This is placed number 1 for a very very good reason.
I freaking cant stand the sight of crumpled clothes on myself or anyone else for the matter.
It just screams plain sloppiness on top of extremely bad fashion sense.
Clothes are meant to be straight and neat looking.
Take for example, this shirt.


I just wanna take a steam iron to straighten out the wrinkles right now.
Speaking of fashion, whoever who came up with the wrinkled look ought to be shot, cause it just makes the wearer looks untidy and unkempt
And speaking of iron, the iron in hall is missing cause the ironing room is under costruction. I've got tonnes of PE shorts and shirts that i cant wear cause they are too wrinkled for my good.
Sarah genetic can vouch for that im sure.
Does anyone share the same view?
Get me an iron now. NOW.

2. Still air
I know.
Half of you reading this must be thinking i am outta my mind to be picking a fight with the air??
But seriouslly, when I stay in a room with no ventilation at all, it just feels like a pair of invisible hands is choking me with a vice like grip.


No kidding.
Even when the weather is cold, the fan still has to be turned on at least at the minimum speed to get the air moving.
So, remember that whenever i ask for aircon or fan i am not being a princess it just that.. you know...i really really want to breathe.

3. Air fresheneror anything aerosol


Still along the lines of the air quality.
Aerosol products does something to my alveoli in my lungs.
Be it an armani smelling air freshener, or a baygon insecticide, they just smell the same to me. Bad
Basically, if you try to find the correlation value between me and aerosol spray products, it'll probably be a low 0.000000001.

4. Breaking of promises
If you promise me something, you better come through your part of the deal, or i would choke slam and swanton bomb you to the ground.
Hate people who break their promises
Likewise, i try to keep to every single promises that i have made to the best of my abilities.
They say "do unto others what you want others to do unto you" right??

5. Tehhh-ing girls
This is not a personal attack to some PPG, but just dont do it to me.
You can manipulate mojo jojo for all you want
haha
I get very uncomfortable when i see girls teh.
It is probably the independent woman inside of my gagging herself when i see a girl teh to anyone at all.
I dont disapprove of it. I just dont wanna be near or part of it somehow.
I guess its not so much of a bad thing, cause a certain PPG has proven that tehhing gets you what you want very effectively.
I should probably learnt the trick of the trade too.

And the list goes on...
This is all that i can think of now.
But being so anal, i guess i must have missed out alot more.

After tennis, headed home with sarah genetic only to realise i left my home keys in hall
Stucked outside home for quite sometime
Thank god for alvin who is less forgetful

Was hungry and couldnt find food other than instant noodles and uncooked rice at home
Ransacked the pantry and found a can of Narcissus mushrooms
Took the can opener, opened it and ate it straight out from the can
Tasted kinda yummy actually
Mushroom is now officially one of my favourite food
But nothing can beat gummy bears and sour sweet stuff

is it saturday already?
at least i get to see the PESS peeps at melati's
cant wait
being alone sucks eggs.

sleepless fun

i was anticipating recess as i thought it would be a good time to rest those ankles and that tired body of mine
but no....
recess was on the contrary more taxing on my poor body than the normal schooling week

First up, Sarah Genetic's birthday bash at Aloha Loyang
Just one word
Smashing.
Not smashing good figuratively, but literally smashing
A truckload of booze was bought for the highlight of the night called "power hour"
Basically, we down half a cup of beer every minute for the next hour and the last man standing wins
Halfway through the game, beer ran out and we switched it to tequila and whisky instead
This was when the disaster started happenning
People got so drunk esp Gay, he started Judo-ing everyone he could lay his hands on onto the cement floor
Poor Sarah had a huge bump on her forehead so much that she looked like a "luo han" fish and i asked her for 4 lucky numbers
The 32 bucks four leaves cake that i was dying to eat got thrown all over the floor and smashed into faces of ppl
Note to self and everyone in the class, PE ppl+ booze= diasaster
hence, next party, no alcohol or alternatively, bring a straight jacket to belt Gay up first.

Met up with besties at Marina square in the evening for a nice dinner to celebrate kassyn's 21st
Had dinner at secret recipe and dessert at Bakerz inn
Meeting up with them is always fun
Just learnt that Mei Mei is a psyduck cause she like to confuse ppl with her confusion power!!

Marcus and i couldnt stop laughing
i have no idea why.

Next up after dinner with besties, Fishing with Junyang and friends
We fished from night till 7am in the morning at this paid pond at lakeside
I must say, i didnt start off well
But, as the night progressed, i managed to catch 2 sea bass
not bad for a non regular fisher huh?
Got bored as the night progressed and thank god for music and Jy's itouch
It doesnt suck as much as i say it does la!
this is me with my trophy, the fish itself.
Quite huge in my opinion.


Felt quite bad for the fishes
cause all in all, we managed to haul 10 fishes altogether
which was way more than what we needed.

Went home and slept till 1230 only to realise i was late for the movie marathon with the PPGs
Changed and rushed out to meet melati and sarah at Ehub
We caught The Ugly truth and Fame
Ugly Truth was awesome
Fame was shit ass
They didnt even sing the Fame song at all??!!

I just realised that recess is oficially over
in a flash!!!
Im tired
But i had fun
beter sleep through the weekends before school starts again
Bye!
