i think my mum is really stressed out with the impending wedding of my sister in a few weeks time.
All of a sudden i see furniture being shifted around, curtains getting hemmed, weird red decorative stuff being bought and so much more.
And since then, my mum has been nagging at me non stop to pack/clear/clean my room cause there's gonna be guests at our house on the wedding day.
No.1, how about the guest go check out the bride's room instead of mine? Its not like i am the one getting married.
No.2, no one is gonna come into your hse and see if your curtains is of a nice length and open up my wardrobe and check if i have stacked my t-shirts neatly.

Okay, that aside, i promised my mum that i will get the room done by the 19th anyway cause being such a good daughter, i'll just let it go.
BUT NOOO..
She comes in every freaking day and shakes her head and leave. Not 1 day, not 2 days, EVERYDAY.
On a typical day, i just continue with whatever i was doing( ususlly watching a movie on my laptop) and ignore her
My cue to start screaming came when she stood at the door and wouldnt leave until i acknowledge her presence

mum: can you please clear you room, i dont wanna keep reminding you everyday
me: i am clearing a bit at a time and i promised you it will be done by the 19th, even if i have to stay up all night on the 18th I WILL GET IT DONE!
mum: why do you have to wait till then to do? cant you just do it now?
me: because if i do it now, i would mess it up again before the 19th and i dont wanna pack twice.
mum: why cant you just stop watching your videos and pack you room
me: so, when do you want it done by? Give me a date. You said 19th and i am gg to clear by the 19th, but you keep coming in everyday to bug me. Pick a date. 15th? tomorrow? when?
mum: why cant my daughter be clean and neat. I give up!
me: I promise the 19th and i will get it done. there's no need to give up

So there's this food fair going on at the expo and my brother and mother are all excited over it.

You know what's really embarassing?
I can bet everyone a dollar that this situation has arose sometime in their life and more than once for sure, but it seems that we just brush it off all the time and pray for it to be over soon.

I was watching a rented DVD with my family over dinner last sunday night and everyone was cuddled around the sofa just watching when suddenly.....
the couple started making out.


AWKWARD.
What is amazing is that the scene only lasted for about 5 secs or less, but amazingly, within such a short 5 secs, my mum got up and went to the kitchen to get a drink or something. Lets just say she left the tv "coincidentally" when the make out scence was playing and only returned way after the scene was over.
You may call me a skeptic but i sure as hell do not think it was a coincidence cause deep deep deep down inside, i wanted to leave the hall as well.

It just wrong wacthing a love scence with your family right?

Even when you are watching lets say a movie with your friends i think the reaction you show will also be carefully thought through. So what people really often do is to say something random to fill out the awkward silence in between.

It's been such a long time. I cant belive ive slack off that long.

PPT and tennis session in school today.
And i would have to say that i wasn't as bad at tennis as i had expected as i havent touched my tennis racquet since before the exams?
I threw a ball at a person's head today during PPT.
He asked for the ball and i threw it to him but he didnt catch it. The ball bounced straight off his head,upwards!
Imagine that scene. Funny, except that I would seem like someone who cant really throw a ball???
Again, story of my life!!

Anyway, my mum has been nagging at me to clear my wardrobe and room cause my pile of clothes i brought back from hall is still untouched since i have moved back.
So yesterday, i decided to start on what i thought was the easiest to clear which are the towels.
I took the whole pile out and threw away the ones is didnt want and use anymore and re-folded the ones i use. And here is the final product!


A nice and neat towels section.
So if you havent noticed, most if not all of my towels are yellow in colour. Different shades of yellow but nonetheless yellow.
My family adopts this colour system for towels which i think is pretty interesting and effective. It is quite simple actually where everyone in the family has a different colour for their towels. So when my mum buys towels for us, she would pick out our specific colour.
Mine obviously is yellow.
Sister's is pink
Brother's is blue
Mum's is green and dad's is of an assorted colour.
So, with this great system in place, sorrting of the laundry is so easy and there's no discrepencies to as to whom this towel belongs to!
Just sharing a little something something which i thought is quite neat.
Is it only in my family? Or do some of you adopt the same system too??

I stare at it for a moment trying to figure out the contents under the obviously selfed wrapped gift.
It was so big, it was square and rigid. It felt like a frame.

Then i couldn't wait any longer and gave up the guessing game and started to unwrap the gift which took less than 5 seconds, reconfirming the self wrapped theory.

I thought, before this blog starts turning into a fashion blog i better do something!
Reading the past few posts, i realised its all about fashion!!
so here i am to make it not so much about clothes, bags or shoes.

so the exams are finally over and after only the first day of hoildays, i thought to myself, boy 4 months is gonna be a way long time.
If you think about it, its longer than our academic semester!!

Ive been recuperating at home, staying in and just lazing around.
What is taking up most of my free time is.... the TV.
Catching up with unwatched shows, the star awards part 2/ survivor / american idol( boo you Casey james!!!)

to all the idol watchers out there, do you think that Casey James shouldve stayed over Shiobhan Magnus? Personally i find him really boring cause whatever song he sings it sounds exactly the same. And no, i dont mean the same style, i mean it sounds like the same damn song. He doesnt like to take risks and always choose songs that sound similar. Compared to Shiobhan, she takes risks and performs. I seriouslly dont know what is wrong with America, but i couldn't care less cause this season of american idol totally sucks.
I know although Sarah is waving her pom poms for casey james she would agree with me 100% on this. Anyone can win this and its doesnt really matter to me cause they wouldnt outsell Adam Lambert anyway. Somehow, in terms of performances, Adam is the mark to beat(at least for me). I would compare every single performace to Adam Lambert's and go "nah... not good enough"
So yeah, GO Lee or Aaron!! Dont let bowersox win! She is too overated.

Its funny cause watching tv is something which i thought i would die not doing everyday but got used to not doing after i moved into hall.
But now that i am back home, the routine automatically fell right back in place.
Hence it cements the fact behing this line "a leapord never changes its spot"

So anyway, ive been watching alot of TV and also playing the awesome game called "Plants vs Zombies"
I actually bought the game off the internet for 6.99usd and i cant belive i actually did that cause buying stuff online, yes, thats me. But buying games?? Hell to the no.
Before you think its some counter strike esque or left 4 dead game, it is so not. Look at the banner!


Basically, its a defence tower game where you protect yourself from the zombies that are coming to eat your brains.
And how do you do that?
You plant an assorment of plants on your front yard, back yard and roof and your plants will somehow defend you by shooting peas and spikes and stuff like that depending on their ability.


Its really fun because its strategic and really smart.
They've got really cute zombies with different abilities as well


This is the dancing zombie that would do the MJ trailer dance and moonwalk down your yard to try to eat your brains.
Its damn fun!
There is a 1 hr trial where you can try the game for an hour.
I think you should try it. Just google plants vs zombies.

Went out with the PE peeps on friday to watch Daniel mr Sexy saxophone and his band perform at CMPB at dempsey hill.
They play really nice and current songs, and apparently Sixx which is their band is up and coming in the local music scene.
So if you wanna go listen to them, they play every friday at CMPB!
CMPB has really nice ambience and great food. Try the wagyu beef if you can order only 1 item!

I was talking to melala about dressing up last week after a day of studying
As a PE teahcer, my fashion fate is sealed to a life of PESS shirts and running shorts
The only consolation would be that the PESS shirts come in a myriad of colours
Its kinda sad especially for someone who likes to dress up and experiment with clothes.
Dont judge me here. I dont think i am vain, but i just like looking pleasent in my own sense.
But it is apparent that my future job does not allow me to do so.
To all PE teachers out there, here is a question for you.
Would you teach PE in spoting attire and then change into something nicer to teach in the classroom?
or would you just remain in your sporting attire the entire day?
On one hand, i would think that in order to preserve the image of a PE teacher, the latter would be more appropritae, but Melala was painting this picture of "the" female PE teacher that can rock both formal and sporting outfits.
How?
In my opinion, Ms Magdelyn Suey from MJ was the closest to the most dolled up PE teacher ive seen. And the only reason is because she wears alot of pink and carries a pnk lacoste bag. Thats probably about it.
And now i wondering, what is going to happen to my wardbrode that i have built over these years?
All the nice formal dresses, not so formal frocks and shorts and skirts that i get to wear now cause i am still a student.

1. cheating and getting caught cheating
it seems like every other famous man is cheating on their spouse and getting caught cheating
like how interesting is that? it almost seems like it is "the" celebrity thing to do right now.
for example last year it would probably be getting pregnant cause every other celebrity is getting pregger- despite not being married.

2. getting a dslr camera
this, i understand because the picture quality from a dslr is superb.
but i really didnt realize how ppl really like taking photos so much that they are willing to spend thousands of dollars on a camera
for me, i can just live with my 5mp compact camera or better yet my 3.2mp phone camera
i am perfectly fine with it.
but it just appears to me that the norm is to own one of those huge ass cameras now even if you just wanna take normal photos.

3. going kite flying at the marina barrage
i have nvr been able to get a kite to take off from the ground despite trying so many times.
gracia, remember the amazing race we did when we were in nyjc? hah.. epic failure
ive been seeing alot of pictures of ppl gg to the barrage to fly kites lately.. is it the wind? like stronger or smt? cause i really wanna get a kite up in the air too..
