I was talking to melala about dressing up last week after a day of studying
As a PE teahcer, my fashion fate is sealed to a life of PESS shirts and running shorts
The only consolation would be that the PESS shirts come in a myriad of colours
Its kinda sad especially for someone who likes to dress up and experiment with clothes.
Dont judge me here. I dont think i am vain, but i just like looking pleasent in my own sense.
But it is apparent that my future job does not allow me to do so.
To all PE teachers out there, here is a question for you.
Would you teach PE in spoting attire and then change into something nicer to teach in the classroom?
or would you just remain in your sporting attire the entire day?
On one hand, i would think that in order to preserve the image of a PE teacher, the latter would be more appropritae, but Melala was painting this picture of "the" female PE teacher that can rock both formal and sporting outfits.
How?
In my opinion, Ms Magdelyn Suey from MJ was the closest to the most dolled up PE teacher ive seen. And the only reason is because she wears alot of pink and carries a pnk lacoste bag. Thats probably about it.
And now i wondering, what is going to happen to my wardbrode that i have built over these years?
All the nice formal dresses, not so formal frocks and shorts and skirts that i get to wear now cause i am still a student.
The Hermes blazer is gonna turn grey in my wardrobe!!!

the only reason i am here now is due to the fact that i am insomnic from a very late meal after Gina's baptism ceremony that lasted a good 3 hours

at this moment you may think that i am sounding like a die hard chelsea/soccer fan which FYI i am so not.

exams is in a couple of weeks time and i am already looking forward to the long awaited holiday after that.

i noticed that everyone is...

1. cheating and getting caught cheating
it seems like every other famous man is cheating on their spouse and getting caught cheating
like how interesting is that? it almost seems like it is "the" celebrity thing to do right now.
for example last year it would probably be getting pregnant cause every other celebrity is getting pregger- despite not being married.

2. getting a dslr camera
this, i understand because the picture quality from a dslr is superb.
but i really didnt realize how ppl really like taking photos so much that they are willing to spend thousands of dollars on a camera
for me, i can just live with my 5mp compact camera or better yet my 3.2mp phone camera
i am perfectly fine with it.
but it just appears to me that the norm is to own one of those huge ass cameras now even if you just wanna take normal photos.

3. going kite flying at the marina barrage
i have nvr been able to get a kite to take off from the ground despite trying so many times.
gracia, remember the amazing race we did when we were in nyjc? hah.. epic failure
ive been seeing alot of pictures of ppl gg to the barrage to fly kites lately.. is it the wind? like stronger or smt? cause i really wanna get a kite up in the air too..
note to self: go fly kite with friends after exams

So here's the story.
Nicole woke me up at 1130 with the intention to vist Queen Victoria Market today
I told her to go get ready and by the time she is done, i'll be up
She did and i was still dead as a log, so she let me sleep a little more.
So she tried again at 1230, no response.
Woke me up at 3pm, and told me the market closes at 5pm
In all my grogginess, i asked her "Huh???!! den how?"
And nic replied: "Den go back to sleep den"
And so i did!
Finally woke up at 5pm
I was dead tired man
We decided that todays gonna be chill bill day anyway, so its cool

Nicole made dinner at home.
Korean kim chee noodles with stir fried beef and straw mushrooms

Just in case you dont know, we are 3 hours ahead of Singapore
Supposedly 2, but because of "daylight saving" they added 1 hour just a few days ago.

Happy Boxing Day guys!
Day two down under is jammed packed with action and I'll tell you why
We woke up at 430am zomg cause traditionally on boxing day all the malls hold this great great sale and open their door at an unearthly 5am and close at 12pm

Our very first destination was Burket street.
It is kinda like the Orchard Road in singapore
We took a tram there and reached the place at an unearthly time of 545am



Oooh! and guess what?
As I approach the place, I was greeted by this very apt piece of art

As i look at the picture now, i pity that smiley girl on the giant purse who has no idea that she had just sealed the deal with the giant purse of spending for the rest of the day.

after a very fruitful shopping experience at myer with no photos as we were too busy shopping, we headed to the train station to make a pilgrimage to Chadston, the fashion capital of Melbourne
En route Chadston, eating subway at Flinders train station.




Yes, they allow food- They even have little vendors selling food at the platform.
How cool is that?
Anyway, Chadston is like this giant shopping mall with every shop you can imagine
From the super atas like Louis Vuiton to the very affordable Cotton on.
As we were busy shopping, i didnt manage to take any photos
For a little break, we hopped over to the pankncake house for a little sugar rush with an order of double stack pancakes with a single scoop of vanilla ice cream- each.
And because we over spent, we can only dream abt drinking something else other than water,






After ice cream, we were good to go and began our long journey back to Bourke Street via the trains again

Before going back home, we went to Woolworths to get do some grocerry shopping

Shopping here would definitely be a perfect alternative to being a cashier for real

Merry Christmas from down under!
Chritmas in Melbourne is kinda like chinese new year in China.
The whole place is a freaking ghost town.
Basically all major and even minor stores are closed for today
So, its a chill and relax day for me

When i touched down, i called nicole who was supposed to come pick me up at the airport.
But dear miss teo partied a little too hard last night, so she kinda overslept.
Took a cab all the way to her place by myself and i nearly fainted cause the cab fare was like MAD CRAZY
The meter doesnt moves, it freaking run cause it increases by 10cents every second.
I paid 57 aussie bucks just to cab to her place.
Please do not tell me the amount in Sing dollars cause i think i may cry.

So, since the stores are all closed, we tried out luck with the restaurants and thank god they were open
But we had to walk like damn far
and i dont like to walk damn far so i was like complaining all the way


Settled for italian and boy was it good
We had mixed pasta combo for 2 that comes with out choice of 3 pasta


1. Risotto Pollo
2. Spaghetti Meatballs
3. Linguine Prawn
Aewsome yum.
The serving here is like mad huge so we were stuffed and left the meatballs one out cause it was the least favourite
The risotto is awesome. Best one i have tried.




Anyway here is a story that nicole shared with me today and i think its damn funny.
She was trying to tell me about the racism situation in aust and how the whites hate the ah nehs and ah tiongs(which is us in aussie context)
After that she was getting to a point where you dont mess with the vietnamese here cause they are like post war generation and are super gung ho abt everything
So 3 white aussie guys where messing around in the club and the accidentally bumbed into a vietnamese guy
The vietnamese guy was so angry that he went to his car and took out a SAMURAI SWORD
he unsheathed the sword and chased the 3 guys while dragging it on the floor, you can see a trail of sparks
So he basically killed 2 of the white guys with the sword and only one survived
No.1 who carries a freaking samurai sword in their car?
No.2 dragging the sword to create sparks?
haha...
yeah.. thats the funny part.
